I am a multimedia artist who hopes for the magical moment during painting when one relinquishes control to the painting. The choice of medium, color, and surface is intentional, but I hold no preconceived ideas or drawings for my works. Similarly, I often leave my paintings untitled so that the viewer can perceive them through their own frame of reference.
I am an internal medicine physician devoted to lifelong interdisciplinary learning. I continually open myself to the influences of diverse artists, writers, and poets. Fundamentally, I hope to create art that proceeds from and connects with the most powerful human emotions. Although my art inclines toward abstract impressionism, my primary goal is experimentation and discovery with each painting and expression of the preverbal creative process.
